Now at the centre of Italian industry
RINGSPANN strengthens its international presence with new a subsidiary near Milan
A few days ago, RINGSPANN commenced business operations at its new subsidiary in Italy. With this new overseas branch, which is now the twelfth one, the globally operating premium manufacturer of transmission components, precision clamping fixtures and remote control systems is continuing down the path of its internationalisation strategy. RINGSPANN Italia is headquartered in Lainate just outside the industrial metropolis of Milan, and is thus situated at the heart of Italian machine and plant construction.
Bad Homburg, March 2016. – In a highly dynamic and rigorous fashion, RINGSPANN has been driving the expansion of its international presence particularly hard over the last ten years. Following the establishment of subsidiaries in China (2006), Benelux (2009), India (2011), Sweden (2014) and most recently in South Africa (2015), RINGSPANN Italia commenced its operations a few days ago. From the small town of Lainate in Milan’s industrial belt, the company now supplies RINGSPANN customers on the Italian peninsula with transmission components, precision clamping fixtures and remote control systems. "In the north of Italy in particular we have large base of regular customers, whom we can now supply even faster and more efficiently with our product and system solutions via our new subsidiary", says RINGSPANN managing director Fabian Maurer.
Suppliers on customers’ premises
With the new subsidiary, which is now the twelfth overseas branch of RINGSPANN, Italian machine and plant engineers and transmission manufacturers have a complete range of high-quality freewheels, brakes, shaft-hub connections, overload and shaft couplings on their doorstep as well as precision clamping fixtures and remote control systems. Moreover, the close geographical location to customers has a further crucial advantage: "Today, it is more and more often the case that mechanical engineers and transmission manufacturers wish to incorporate our know-how in early phases of their production development. Meaning it is a huge advantage to operate in the immediate neighbourhood of such companies," reports Antonio Trondoli, managing director of RINGSPANN Italia.
"Not the last overseas subsidiary"
The twelfth RINGSPANN subsidiary just outside Milan strengthens the company’s position in the European market in particular. For managing director Fabian Maurer however, it is above all a further stage in Ringspann’s internationalisation strategy: "RINGSPANN Italia will surely not be the last of our overseas subsidiaries; we are currently setting our sights further ahead", says the head of the company.
